I am hesitant to order egg foo young to go, sometimes there is an oily taste. NOT the case here. The shrimp egg foo young I ordered was not only not oily at all, but the shrimp was so fresh. It's still delicious and holds together the next day. I also ordered vegetable fried rice and was impressed with the variety of vegetables and the big chunks of mushrooms, which I love. Definitely will be eating here again my next trip to Monroe.
The New Chopsticks is worthy of a visit. Great food, ample portions and nice staff. We stopped going here 10 years ago as the food was.. Well not very good. Great to have a Chinese option for lunch or supper again. BTW: Hot sour soup is pretty darn good and great egg rolls. I wish the new owners continued success.
So glad we finally found a good Chinese restaurant not too far from home. Typical American Chinese, with delightful waitress. The chicken wings were terrific. Chicken & broccoli was only fair. Wanton soup was wonderful ... and the egg drop soup was very good. We love their egg fu young and hot & spicy shrimp (but lo mein noodles instead of rice.
